Tell Louisiana Officials to take action to stop the injustice happening to the Jena 6.

Louisana officials are acting like they can't do anything to end the injustice occuring in Jena, Louisiana. Now is the time to call and tell them that they can---the reputation of their state is at stake.

Can you take a minute to give Governor Blanco a call at 225-342-0991 (if it's busy, you can call 225-342-7015)?

Here's a brief script you can use that speaks to her specific leadership position in the state of Louisiana (or feel free to come up with your own):

I'm calling regarding the Jena 6. I am appalled that the Governor has done nothing to act for justice in this case. She should immediately demand an investigation of LaSalle Parish DA Reed Walters and publicly state that if any of the young men are convicted, she'll immediately reprieve the sentence, which she has the authority to do under Article 4, section 5(e)(1) of the state constitution.

Once you've called, please take a moment to let us know you called and to tell us how it went.

What happened when you called?

Reached a real person or left a message.
No answer, busy signal, recorded message, etc.

If you reached someone, can you summarize their response?
